first_imgEverton are expected to confirm the £25million signing of striker Cenk Tosun from Turkish club Besiktas this week.The Toffees have been strongly linked with a move for the 26-year-old in the build-up to the January transfer window, with Sam Allardyce admitting last week that the club were chasing him.And it has been reported he has already agreed personal terms with the Merseyside outfit and is scheduled to arrive at Goodison Park on Tuesday.According to The Sun, the Turkey international will pen a £145,000-a-week contract with the Premier League side, which will see him pocket £7.5m a year.Tosun has been in sparkling form for Besiktas this season – scoring 14 goals in 24 games, including a fine brace to beat Monaco in the Champions League.The forward has netted a total of 41 goals in 96 league games for the Super Lig side, and his impending arrival represents a huge boost for Everton.The Toffees have struggled so far this season without a regular source of goals, having sold Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United in the summer.Wayne Rooney is the club’s top scorer this term with 11 goals, with 20-year-old Dominic Calvert-Lewin next with six.Oumar Niasse also has six goals for the Toffees this season, but he is expected to leave this month, having started only one match under new boss Allardyce.
